In the realm of innovation management, organizational leaders are confronted with a myriad of challenges that impact their decision-making processes. This thesis endeavours to unravel the complexities surrounding these challenges, focusing on understanding the key obstacles faced by leaders when making decisions related to innovation management. Through qualitative research methods such as interviews and case studies, this study delves into the experiences and perspectives of organizational leaders to shed light on the multifaceted nature of these challenges.
The primary objective of this research was to identify and analyse the key challenges encountered by organizational leaders in innovation management decision-making. By examining these challenges from various angles and contexts, the study aims to provide a nuanced understanding of the factors that hinder effective decision-making in innovation. Additionally, the research seeks to offer actionable insights and recommendations to help leaders overcome these challenges and navigate the complexities of innovation management more effectively. Ultimately, this thesis the intricate dynamics of leadership decision-making in innovation management while fostering organizational growth and competitiveness in today's dynamic business environment.
To achieve a comprehensive understanding, interviews were conducted with leaders across diverse sectors, complemented by surveys distributed to professionals with varied industry backgrounds. This mixed-methods approach highlighted both common and unique challenges that leaders face in innovation management. Key findings emphasize the importance of adaptability, collaboration, and strategic alignment in effective decision-making. The conclusions suggest that successful innovation management relies on a balance between fostering creativity and managing risks, underscoring the need for flexible and inclusive leadership strategies to drive sustainable organizational growth.
