Tiivistelmä
The main aim of this thesis was to oversee the production of ready-to-wear clothes at Shanta Denims LTD. To meet the aim, the quantitative research method was applied. 30 employees (from the supply chain management department) from Shanta Denims LTD were purposively selected.
The reason for using the purposive sampling method was that every participant must have profound knowledge of the company’s supply chain management. In this case, senior-level employees were particularly selected. After data collection by using Google Docs, the data was analysed to evaluate the supply chain management of Shanta Denims LTD.
This thesis investigated the role of technology and innovation in improving supply chain management practices in the ready-made garment sector, specifically at Shanta Denims LTD. As well, the thesis discussed using supply chain management for essential tasks, such as predicting demand, keeping track of inventory, planning output, coordinating logistics, ensuring quality standards are met, and managing relationships with suppliers. The thesis also discussed the Internet of Things, AI, and blockchain and how they can help run businesses more quickly, manage products better, and respond to the market more quickly. To meet these objectives, the thesis used a quantitative method and descriptive statistics for data analysis.
