Tiivistelmä
The banking sector is one of the major parts of Bangladesh's economy. In this country, one of the most popular and desirable jobs among all generations is in banking. Because of this, it is important to study the employee's job satisfaction in the banking sector in Bangladesh because it directly impacts employees' productivity, retention, and overall organizational performance. On the other hand, a satisfied workforce can provide better customer service, which is essential in this highly competitive industry.

However, in a developing country like Bangladesh, research on job satisfaction in the banking sector remains limited, and many organizations lack awareness of the importance of employee well-being and satisfaction. Addressing this gap through focused research can highlight actionable strategies to improve job satisfaction, and benefit both employees and the banking industry as a whole.

The key objective of this thesis was to identify employee perception of job satisfaction in the banking sector in Bangladesh. This research focused on a specific foreign private bank employees’ job conditions. This bank is mainly operated by an international group.

The data were generated from the online survey and analyzed through descriptive statistical methods to identify trends and patterns in employee job satisfaction.

The analysis found that the majority of the participants highlighted working environment, pay and benefits, and work-life balance as the most important factors. On the other hand, salary dissatisfaction, fewer career development opportunities, and a high level of turnover were found in the study.

Findings suggested that implementing different benefits, training for skills development, proper recognition, and flexible work policies can improve employees' motivation, and loyalty and decrease the turnover rate. For foreign banks entering into this Bangladeshi market, focusing on the mentioned areas can help to attract and retain top talent workforce. This process will build a productive, satisfied workforce that drives organizational success.
