Tiivistelmä
This thesis explored the impact of low-code platforms and tools on user experience. With the help of research questions about usability, user satisfaction, and technology acceptance, this study obtained related findings that recognized the advantages and limitations of low-code platforms. This led to finding opportunities around user engagement, satisfaction as well as understanding and reducing their cognitive load for learning how to navigate and use low-code applications.
The research methods consisted of comprehensive surveys from individuals across all skill levels. The insights highlighted that while low-code platforms are perceived mainly as user-friendly, there are major challenges surrounding limitations on customization and a shortage in functionalities.
Results indicated that to improve user satisfaction and adoption, learning material and training should be improved with additional AI features integrated into these platforms. This knowledge creates a good basis for future research and future development of low-code applications.
