This thesis examines the challenges and opportunities presented by hybrid work environments in the context of employee wellbeing and interpersonal connections. The research focuses on a Finnish marketing agency, Company X, which has implemented a hybrid work model.
Thesis employs a mixed-methods approach, including literature review, theme interviews, benchmarking, and action research. The primary research question explores strategies to enhance employee wellbeing and foster interpersonal connections in hybrid work settings. Secondary questions investigate the impact of workplace community on employee wellbeing and effective methodologies for facilitating collaborative work in hybrid models.
The thesis aims to address issues such as increased stress levels, psychological safety, communication challenges, and the need for flexibility in the modern workplace. Thesis findings have implications for organizational practices and employee support in the evolving landscape of hybrid work arrangements.
