Tiivistelmä
This thesis examined waste management in Bangladesh's Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector with an eye towards the industry's environmental-friendly manufacturing change-over. Analyzing several manufacturing sites, the thesis concerned waste management, recycling, and environmentally friendly behavior. It questioned the existence and effectiveness of these systems. While many businesses have established waste management policies, the results show that they are still not used properly or meet green standards. This is valid even if every producer employs these systems. Adoption of a consistent sustainability strategy by the sector is difficult for several reasons. Among these are several interpretations of "green practices," a lack of technological instruments, and variations in recycling rates.

The study suggested teaching every staff member how to create a sustainable culture, standardizing waste management techniques, and using more high-tech tools. The study stressed not only these aspects but also other ones. Several concepts have been proposed to increase waste management efficiency and responsibility. Among these are regular environmental audits, encouragement of renewable energy sources, and cooperation with environmental non-governmental organisations.

Globally sustainable trends enable Bangladesh's ready-made garment (RMG) industry to reduce environmental damage and boost competitiveness by means of environmental damage-minimizing technologies. The results of this study implied that utilizing environmentally friendly manufacturing, the ready-made garment (RMG) sector of Bangladesh can support environmental goals with impact.
