This thesis overviews the Finnish Maria 01 Startup Campus way to enhance the value and engagement of their alumni association. Reviewing research regarding educational institutions' alumni associations and identifying the key factors that drive alumni loyalty and engagement. Reviewing Commissioner Maria 01 to understand their operations, the community, and the value behind startup hubs.
For the research benchmarking was made with Maria 01 and Y Combinator. Benchmarking reveals steps for Maria 01 to consider in their operations and strategy to engage their alumni and bring value to the network, including expanding the alumni membership structure, hosting targeted activities, emphasizing alumni management, and improvement of marketing about alumni. With the changes, Maria 01 can enhance the growth of alumni loyalty, making them more attractive to stakeholders and grow to become the biggest startup campus in Europe.
