Tiivistelmä
Food companies are crucial to nations' growth and development. An unsatisfied employee tends to mismanage the recipes used in cooking, which may lead to food poisoning, cross-contamination, and impurities such as hair and pebbles. As a result, this study examined the role of compensation management practices in enhancing employee performance using BAMA Fresh Cuts Oy, a food company in Finland.

The study objectives were to evaluate the compensation management practices used in the organization; to measure employees’ performance level in the organization; to examine the role of compensation management practices in enhancing employee performance in the organization.

The study employed convenience sampling based on the respondents' accessibility. The research adopted an online questionnaire to gather data from 30 employees of BAMA Fresh Cuts Oy. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data. The study outcomes revealed that the three most ranked compensation management practices are functional working time arrangements, supervisor feedback, and colleague feedback. Also, the top three methods of rewards for task completion are monetary rewards, appreciation from co-workers, and non-monetary rewards. Lastly, the three crucial measures of employees' performance are performance of expected tasks, adequate completion of assigned duties, and fulfillment of specified responsibilities in the job description.

The study recommends that BAMA Fresh Cuts Oy managers conduct a market survey to justify their reward system. Employees should muster the courage to speak up if unsatisfied with the organization's reward system.
