Tiivistelmä
Company X recognized the need to focus attention on its materials management process, particularly on order tracking and delivery punctuality. As a result, this case study was commissioned by Company X to identify areas for improvement in the materials management and procurement processes, with the aim of addressing these issues and enhancing their efficiency in future.
The theoretical framework is primarily based on procurement processes, supplier relationships, and materials management. It seeks to provide a foundation for the more practical part of the study, which includes interviews, surveys, and a brief data analysis of the company’s order data.
As a result the study identified areas of improvement in the relevant processes. Based on the theories presented and examined at the beginning, connections were formed between cause-and-effect relationships and the specific process phases that could use development were identified. As a result, a useful foundation was created for the case company to improve process efficiency and overall organizational productivity in the future.
