Degree Thesis : A scoping review of leadership characteristics and strategies that encourage effective wearable integration.

Abstract

Emerging studies on wearable sensor gadgets aim to facilitate personalized remote healthcare. However, not everyone agrees of wearable use in healthcare as a breakthrough. The acceptance of wearable technology in healthcare varies due to differing leadership strategies and characteristics. Effective digital leadership styles significantly impact the equity and quality of healthcare services. Knowledge regarding effective digital leadership styles that make modern digital advancements possible decreases the risk of rejecting positive impacts on healthcare service quality completely. This scoping review examines leadership styles and strategies related to wearable integration, contrasting them with ineffective approaches. Conducted across five databases, this review utilized specific key terms and appraisal tools. The study aims to identify beneficial leadership styles for digital integration in wearable technology implementation and to recognize challenges leaders face in adopting effective qualities. A content analysis identified gaps and measures for successful wearable integration, revealing eight key leadership characteristics and six strategies associated with effective digital implementation. The findings illustrate the connection between leadership and successful wearable technology integration.
