The thesis involved the development of a comprehensive automated memo
management system that meets the specific needs of Metatavu Oy. The goal of
the thesis was to optimize the creation, distribution, translation, and
summarization of management memos.
The project was developed using a modern stack of technologies. This includes
AWS Lambdas interacting with various of services such as Google Cloud, Slack,
OpenAI and Trello. The frontend was built using the ReactJS framework
providing intuitive and user-friendly interface for managing memos. Security was
guaranteed by utilizing the Keycloak resource.
The system designed to be a part of Metatavu company platform for the
employees’ communication. The memos were displayed on the dashboard of
the Metatavu Home platform with a preview option. Via the Slack bot notification
system, the users are informed about new memos. The users can create
management discussion and questions, resulting in creation of Trello cards that
can be submitted to management team. Additionally, the users can request
summaries created by ChatGPT and translated memo version depending on
system preferred languages.
