The objective of this thesis was to analyse the prior, current and possible future stay and treatment of foreign workforce in Finland as well as to gather current foreigners’ feedback related to their experience with living and working in Finland. The thesis was commissioned by YesHr International Oy. The study focused on gathering information about the improvement of the status of foreign
workforce over the years, the general view of Finland as a country among foreigners, the
things required when a foreign person arrives in Finland, as well as feedback on certain topics. The study showed that Finland is viewed as a stable and safe country all over the world. This shows in people coming to Finland in search for better life and foreigners being satisfied with their stay and working life experience. Nevertheless, the study also showed that there is still room for improvement, especially when it comes to language barriers in working life.
