The purpose of the thesis was to conduct a descriptive literature review of challenges nurses face in providing palliative care to Muslim patients. This thesis explores the challenges faced by nurses in providing palliative care to Muslim patients through a descriptive literature review. The study aims to identify key nursing care difficulties that arise in clinical settings while treating individuals from Islamic backgrounds. It also examines the cultural and ethical considerations unique to this patient population, such as modesty, family dynamics, and religious practices impacting decision-making. By analysing existing literature, the findings aim to guide healthcare providers in developing effective coping strategies and culturally sensitive practices. Ultimately, this research provides valuable insights to enhance the quality of palliative care services for Muslim patients, assisting nurses, doctors, researchers, and nursing students in this vital field.
