Focusing on the value and significance of Zhuang cultural heritage in tourism, my thesis provides an in-depth discussion of the richness of Zhuang cultural heritage in the Guangxi region, the current state of conservation and its important potential as a tourism resource.
As one of the most populous ethnic minorities in China, the Zhuang people's unique ethnic culture, historical traditions and art forms constitute the traditional treasures of Chinese traditional culture. In my thesis, I analyse the tourism value of the Zhuang cultural heritage and propose effective conservation and use strategies to promote the sustainable development of the Zhuang cultural heritage, while enhancing tourists' knowledge and experience of the Zhuang culture.
The cultural heritage of the Zhuang people in the Guangxi region is expressed in a variety of forms, including but not limited to traditional handicrafts, folk songs and dances, festivals and unique architectural styles. These cultural heritages not only carry the history and cultural traditions of the Zhuang people, but also demonstrate their unique national wisdom and artistic creativity. In tourism development, these cultural heritages have become an important factor in attracting tourists and have injected new vigour into the development of tourism in Guangxi.
Zhuang cultural heritage also faces challenges in tourism development. On the one hand, the accelerated process of modernisation and the impact of globalisation make the survival space of traditional cultural heritage increasingly squeezed; on the other hand, unreasonable tourism development may lead to the destruction of cultural heritage and excessive commercialisation. Therefore, how to carry out rational development on the basis of cultural heritage protection has become an urgent problem to be solved at present.
In response to the above problems, thesis proposes the following protection strategies: firstly, to strengthen the local residents‘ awareness of cultural heritage protection and to raise the society's awareness of the protection of Zhuang cultural heritage; secondly, to promote the digital protection and dissemination of the Zhuang cultural heritage; then, to develop cultural tourism products with Zhuang characteristics and to enhance the quality of tourists’ cultural experience; and lastly, to strengthen the community's participation, so that the local residents can become the the main body of cultural heritage protection and tourism development.
Thesis, through in-depth analysis of Zhuang cultural heritage tourism, demonstrates its important role in promoting local economic development and enhancing the sense of national identity. In the future, with the continuous development of tourism and the gradual enhancement of the awareness of cultural heritage protection, the Zhuang cultural heritage will play a more important role in the field of tourism.
