Tiivistelmä
The traditional Fuksiaiset event organizied by Jamk University of Applied Sciences’ Student Union JAMKO, introduces first-year students to university life. However, inefficiencies in planning have arisen due to the lack of structured documentation processes.
Action research methodology was utilized, incorporating first-hand observations from the author and the analysis of former documents. The collected data informed the development of a comprehensive event management manual.
The manual provides clear guidelines on stakeholder coordination, budgeting, marketing, logistics, and evaluation. The implementation of the manual is expected to enhance efficiency, reduce inconsisten-cies, and ensure the transfer of critical knowledge to future organizers.
Future iterations will refine the manual based on feedback from key stakeholders, enhancing its long-term relevance and effectiveness.
