Tiivistelmä
This thesis will investigate the crucial elements needed to develop a positive work culture within the hotel industry, with the desired aim of providing guidelines for both employees and managers.
As the hospitality industry is very demanding and paced, and in most cases stressful, having a supportive and positive environment is crucial for staff and customer satisfaction, and quality of service. Through on-the-job research, charts, and interviews, this thesis will pinpoint factors that influence work culture such as teamwork, leadership, and communication as well as recognition.
The objective of the thesis is to study what is a positive work culture and the product will be an instruction manual, which will show how the current work placement has taught me and show what are the key things to maintain a good work culture, help workers thrive and be excited and happy to go to work, and make sure the establishment stays in being greatly appreciated.
The objective of the manual is to create a good set of guidelines that are specifically designed for the hotels, helping the staff members to actively promote and maintain a great workspace
The manual will offer useful practical advice and guidelines for a positive and productive work environment including effective communication, and work-life balance.
The benefits of adopting such techniques are illustrated by real-world case studies, which include increased guest satisfaction, decreased employee turnover, and greater employee engagement.
These recommendations are meant to give hotel staff the means to foster a positive workplace culture, which will ultimately result in a more driven workforce and better visitor experiences
