Spirometriatutkimus : kuvallinen työohje Medikro Primo -spirometrille

Abstract

Toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli laatia työohje Tampereen ammattikorkeakoululle Medikro Primo -spirometrin käytöstä keuhkojen toimintatutkimuksen suoritusta varten. Työohjeen on tarkoitus toimia opettajan apuvälineenä ja helpottaa osaltaan opettajan työtaakkaa. Työohje on suunnattu bioanalyytikko-opiskelijoille. Opiskelijat voivat tutustua aiheeseen ja laitteen käyttöön itsenäisesti jo ennen varsinaista opetustuntia. Tämä edesauttaa ja tukee opiskelijoiden oppimista ja luo siten hyvän pohjan tuleviin harjoitteluihin ja työelämään.

Tavoitteena oli luoda työohjeesta selkeä, hyvin jäsennelty, pituudeltaan sopiva ja helposti luettava. Työohje suunniteltiin ja toteutettiin Word-pohjaan. Ohjeen teossa hyödynnettiin ohjeen laatijoiden omia kokemuksia ja osaamista bioanalyytikon työtehtävistä. Ohjeen laatimista varten otettiin kuvia spirometria-laitteistosta sekä kuvakaappauksia spirometrian suorituksessa käytettävästä sovelluksesta, joilla pyrittiin selkeästi havainnollistamaan työn suorituksen eri vaiheita. Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuudessa käsiteltiin tutkimuksen taustaa, tutkimuksen suorittamisen eri vaiheita, tutkimustulosten tulkintaa ja virhelähteitä sekä sitä, millainen olisi hyvä työohje.

Työn tuloksena syntyi 10-sivuinen kuvitettu työohje, jossa on kuvattu selkeästi vaihe vaiheelta keuhkojen toimintatutkimuksen suorittaminen Medikro Primo -spirometrilla. Ohjeessa on tuotu ilmi kaikki työvaiheet, jotka tutkimuksen suorittajan täytyy osata ja tietää laitteen kalibroinnista yksittäisen suorituksen hyväksymiskriteereihin.

The aim of the thesis was to produce a work instruction for Tampere University of Applied Science on the use of the Medikro Primo spirometer. Medikro Primo spirometer is a device used to perform lung function tests. The work instruction is intended for biomedical laboratory science students. It also aims to serve as an aid for teachers in clinical physiology lessons. The students can read the instruction before the lessons and familiarize themselves with the topic and the use of the device. The work instruction supports learning and creates a good foundation for future internships and working life.

The work instruction was intended to be clear, well-structured, suitable in length and easy to read. It was designed and created in a Word template. The authors’ own experiences and knowledge of studies and work tasks of a biomedical laboratory scientist have been used as a basis for this work. Images of the equipment and screenshots of the application were taken to clearly illustrate the different stages of the work process. The theory section reviewed research on spirometry, its different stages, interpretation of results and sources of errors. Furthermore, the theory covered the features of a useful work instruction.

The work resulted in a 10-page illustrated work instruction which describes clearly how to perform a lung function test with the Medikro Primo spirometer. The instruction outlines all the steps that the person performing the test must know and be able to accomplish, from calibrating the device to the acceptance criteria for an individual test.
