Context: Improving the quality of relationships among employees and leaders is necessary to build quality work environments and bring health and well-being to an exhausted and overloaded nursing workforce. Therefore, to enhance the quality of healthcare services and patients’ safety, such as job satisfaction among nurses and organizational commitment, the transformational leadership style has become one of the ideal solutions that can deal with and resolve these dilemmas Aim: This research aims to conduct a comprehensive literature review on the impact of transformational leadership on nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Methods: The method used in this research was a literature review to answer the following question: What is the impact of transformational leadership on nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment? The search strategy for this study included 6 electronic databases and 19 academic articles that qualified for the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Findings: The findings indicate that transformational leadership has positively impacted nurses' job satisfaction by enhancing motivation and engagement, empowering staff, improving communication, and creating a supportive work environment. Similarly, the results showed a strong positive relationship between transformational leadership and organizational commitment through the mechanisms by which transformational leaders operate, such as team cohesion and trust, vision sharing, employee alignment with organizational values, and the development of a positive organizational culture. Conclusions: Based on the current study's findings, it can be claimed that transformational leadership is considered one of the most important leadership styles that can help nurses enhance their job satisfaction and organizational commitment and can be used worldwide to effectively enhance the quality of healthcare services.
