The creative industry has reached a critical turning point with the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in design, which blur the boundaries between human innovation and machine efficiency. This research investigated three key questions:
1. Do designers trust AI to create high-quality products with cultural, historical, and contextual depth?
2. What potential and threats do designers see in AI?
3. How do designers see the ethics of AI, including copyright infringement, intellectual property rights, art theft, privacy, and security?
This research aims to bring about a new understanding of how designers incorporate AI tools into their workflows and how they evaluate the feasibility of these tools.
The theoretical part review discussed the underlying principles for AI, its historical development, and examples of applications in various parts of digital design, such as UX/UI design, graphic design, game design, and movie production. It also delved into the future trends in AI in the field of creativity was also explored.
In order to conduct this research, a survey was carried out with designers and experts in the field. Key insights were extracted through quantitative data analysis and visually represented through graphs.
The results indicated that AI holds substantial promise in supporting design processes. However, human creativity, emotional depth, and cultural expression remain irreplaceable. Based on the findings, collaboration between AI and designers is likely to become a dominant trend, offering opportunities to create unique and impactful works that integrate technological innovation with cultural and contextual values.
