Tiivistelmä
This thesis focuses on Air China as the research subject, exploring its emergency response mechanisms for aviation logistics under unexpected events. With the rapid development of the global air transport industry, the ability of airlines to manage emergencies has become increasingly critical. Drawing on Wu's (2016) theoretical framework on airline operations and delay management, this study analyzes strategic planning and network optimization strategies adopted by airlines in response to emergencies. Additionally, referencing the disruption management models proposed by Chung and Li (2015), the thesis delves into the pivotal role of aviation logistics and its corresponding strategies during unexpected events.

In the study of emergency response mechanisms, this thesis also incorporates Somarin et al.'s (2018) research on flexibility in aviation maintenance and supply chains, emphasizing the im-portance of agile supply chain management in aviation logistics during emergencies. Further-more, Elkbuli et al.'s (2022) study on emergency medical service response times provides theoretical support for time management and emergency response, highlighting the central role of time efficiency in such scenarios.

Through a case study of Air China, this thesis summarizes its emergency response mechanisms, including rapid deployment of information systems, flexible supply chain adjustments, and multi-departmental collaboration. The research not only provides a theoretical foundation for emergency management in airlines but also offers practical recommendations for enhancing Air China's emergency response capabilities.
