Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka hur socionomstuderande uppfattar kompetenserna inom småbarnspedagogik, samt vilken syn de har på interprofessionellt samarbete inom småbarnspedagogiken. Examensarbetet behandlar socionomens kompetens och arbetsbild samt interprofessionellt arbete inom småbarnspedagogiken som syftar till grupper där lärare, socionom och barnskötare arbetar interprofessionellt inom småbarnspedagogiken enligt lagändringen som träder i kraft år 2030, och som höjer utbildningsnivån på personal inom småbarnspedagogik.
Undersökningen utfördes som en kvantitativ enkätstudie bland socionomstuderande som får behörighet som socionom inom småbarnspedagogik, 26 respondenter deltog i den digitala enkätundersökningen.
Resultatet visar att respondenterna känner till de olika yrkesgruppernas kompetenser och interprofessionellt samarbete inom småbarnspedagogik. Det interprofessionella samarbetet stöds av gruppen själva, men trots det konsulteras socionomens kompetens i mindre utsträckning än lärarens och barnskötarens kompetens. The purpose of the thesis was to investigate how Bachelor of Social Services students perceive competences in early childhood education and care, as well as their view on interprofessional work in early childhood education and care. The thesis deals with the Bachelor of Social Services competences and work image, and interprofessional cooperation in early childhood education and care, which refers to groups where teachers, Bachelor of Social Services and childminders work interprofessionally in early childhood education and care in accordance with the change in law that will enter into force in year 2030 and which will raise the personal´s level of education in early childhood education and care.
The study was carried out as a quantitative survey among Bachelor of Social Services students who will get the competence as Bachelor of Social Service in early childhood education and care, 26 respondents participated in the digital survey.
The results show that the respondents are aware of the competences of different professional groups and interprofessional cooperation in early childhood education and care. Interprofessional cooperation is supported by the group itself, but despite this, the expertise of the Bachelor of Social Services is consulted to a lesser extent than the teacher and childminder.
