Tiivistelmä
The Ready Made Garment (RMG) sector, the mainstay of Bangladesh’s economic development, has long been the main driver of Bangladesh’s exports and employment, but the traditional competitive advantages are challenged by rising global competition and changing consumer demand. It was research to find out how the sector’s globalization was in its strategic alliances with international firms, to combat these pressures. The focus of this study was on analyzing how partnerships shape market expansion, innovation, and productivity improvements within the scenario of the RMG industry.
The method of investigation was qualitative research using semi-structured interviews of senior stake-holders of the international alliance, in whose practice the issues studied were present. To identify common patterns and critical insights about alliance formation, knowledge transfer, technology adoption, and operational synergies, they are conducted to analyze.
The results reveal that strategic alliances helped enhance access to new markets, improve transfer of technology, improve operational efficiencies, and foster innovation among Bangladeshi RMG firms. Actions taken by these collaborations included mutual investment, clear communication, and shared goals that proved effective keys for success. What the findings also brought up is that challenges persist, like cultural differences, operational misalignments, and over-dependence on a single partner.
Thus, the result suggested that strategic alliance significantly contributes to increasing Bangladesh’s RMG sector global competitiveness through enhancing its technological capability, enlarging market outlets, and improving productivity. Yet, firms must be proactive in overseeing alliance dynamics, investing in building trust and aligning strategic goals to reap a high level of economic benefit for the firm. The study offered practical learning for industry practitioners and governance bodies to pursue sustainable growth in the RMG sector through international cooperation.
