Tiivistelmä
Sexual and reproductive health (SRH) is an important aspect of overall health, greatly affecting quality of life and personal relationships. Various diseases like sexually transmitted infections (STIs), non-communicable dis-eases (NCDs), and neurological disorders can profoundly impact SRH in physical, mental, and social ways. Recognizing these impacts is critical for nurses who play a vital role in patient education, disease prevention, and holistic care. This thesis aimed to create comprehensive, interactive, and accessible self-learning materials for nursing students to learn how specific diseases affect SRH.

The project was carried out in several phases. First, a literature review was conducted using academic databases to collect current, evidence-based findings on disease-specific SRH impacts. Relevant information was synthesized into concise summaries, and medical terminology was adapted for clarity while maintaining academic accuracy. The content was then structured into a clear educational format and developed into an interactive presentation using the H5P platform. Additional tools like AI-based applications were used to create visual elements such as illustrative images, diagrams, and anatomy diagrams. The final product addressed the following diseases: chlamydia, HIV, cervical cancer, diabetes, stroke, and migraine. It also explored their physical, psychological, and social impacts on SRH.

After an H5P-based interactive learning presentation was created, the product was evaluated through self-assessment and a feedback questionnaire. It was designed to measure clarity, interactivity, educational value, and user engagement. Based on the feedback, the product met its intended objectives by presenting disease-related SRH content in a user-friendly and pedagogical format. The interactive features promoted active learning, critical thinking, and self-paced study. More importantly, the material improved students’ awareness of disease-related SRH.

In conclusion, the project demonstrated that interactive digital materials supported nursing education effectively by increasing accessibility, deepen-ing understanding of disease-related SRH, and promoting learner engagement. The material is suitable for educational use and can be further improved by expanding content scope, increasing interactivity, and incorporating structured evaluation directly within the presentation.
