Tietoliikennetallenteen käsittelyn suunnittelu ja toteutus

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tarkoitus oli suunnitella ja toteuttaa toimeksiantajalle tietoliikennetallenteisiin käytettävä käsittelyohjelmisto. Ohjelmiston tarkoitus on kerätä tietoliikennetallenteesta kokonaisuuksia, joilla mahdollistetaan järjestelmän tietoliikenteen tarkastelu tietoturva-arvioinnissa käytettyä kriteeristöä vasten.

Työn suunnittelu aloitettiin kartoittamalla tarpeelliset ominaisuudet ja kokonaisuudet, jotka tallenteesta haluttiin kerätä. Kartoituksen jälkeen työssä suoritettiin ohjelmiston toteutus käyttäen Perl-ohjelmointikieltä sekä Tshark-ohjelmistoa.

Työn tuloksena toimeksiantajalle suunniteltiin ja toteutettiin ohjelmisto, jolla voidaan parantaa arviointitoimintaa tietoliikenneanalyysien osalta ja jota voidaan jatkokehittää tulevaisuuden tarpeiden mukaan.

Packet capture recordings are data files that can be used to archive network traffic at the packet level. The objective of this thesis was to design and implement a processing program that could read these files and collect the data inside to enable the examination of the system's internal traffic against the criteria used in a security audit. The planning of the work began by mapping the necessary features and data that were to be collected from the recording. After mapping out the necessary features, the software was implemented using the Perl programming language and tshark software. As a result of the work, software was produced for the client that can be used in audits and further developed according to future needs.
