Inkeren kartanon puistoselvitys

Abstract

Tämä opinnäytetyö käsitteli Salossa Inkeren kylässä sijaitsevaa Inkeren kartanon puistoa ja puutarhaa, johon puutarha-arkkitehti Paul Olssonin teki puutarhasuunnitelman 1940-luvun lopulla. Selvitystyö tehtiin kartanon omistajan Jensenin perheen toimeksiannosta. Reinhold Jensenin pitkäjänteinen työ puiden parissa on tehnyt kartanon puistosta puu- ja pensaslajipuiston, arboretumin. Tieto eri puulajien alkuperästä oli kuitenkin jäänyt kirjaamatta seuraaville sukupolville, ja tieto oli säilynyt vain muistinvaraisena perimätietona. Opinnäytetyön päätavoitteena oli koota ja dokumentoida tieto kartanon pihan ja rakennuksia ympäröivän puiston puustosta, sen nykytilasta ja peilata sitä puutarha-arkkitehti Olssonin suunnitelmaan. Toissijaisena tavoitteena oli tuottaa Jensenin perheelle tietoa Inkeren kartanopuistoon liitettävistä arvoista sekä kartanopuiston hoidosta. Opinnäytetyö pyrki vastaamaan seuraaviin kysymyksiini, miten kartanopuiston arvo määritetään ja mikä vaikutus arvoilla on ympäristön säilymiseen ja hoitoon. Työn tietoperusta kerättiin historiallisten puutarhojen inventointimenetelmällä. Tämän työn keskeisin tulos oli maastoinventoinnin avulla tuotettu piirros kartanopuiston puista sekä listaus siinä esiintyvistä puulajeista. Lisäksi tuotettiin listaus niistä kasveista, jotka olivat Paul Olssonin suunnitelmassa ja jotka löytyvät puistosta edelleen. Työssä tunnistettiin myös Inkeren kartanoon liitettäviä arvoja. Historiallisten puistojen arvojen määrittäminen vaatii perehtymistä niin alueen historiaan kuin nykytilaan. Arvojen tunnistamisella on keskeinen vaikutus kartanopuistojen säilymiseen, sillä ne vaikuttavat alueen kehitys- ja hoitotoimenpiteisiin. Inkeren kartanon puutarhan säilyttämiseksi suositellaan kehittämis- ja hoitosuunnitelman laatimista, joka huomioi alueen historialliset ja maisemalliset arvot.

The park and garden of Inkere Manor in the village of Inkere in Salo are dealt with in this thesis. A garden plan was made by garden architect Paul Olsson in the late 1940s. The investigation was commissioned by the Jensen family. The manor park has been turned into an arboretum by the long-term work with trees by Reinhold Jensen. However, the origin of different tree species has not been recorded for subsequent generations, and the information has only survived as a memory tradition. The main objective of the thesis has been to collect and document information about the trees in the manor yard and the park surrounding the buildings, its current state and to compare it with garden architect Olsson's plan. A secondary goal is to provide the Jensen family with information about the values associated with Inkere Manor Park and the management of the Manor Park. The following questions are aimed to be answered by the thesis: how the value of a manor park is determined and what impact the values have on the preservation and management of the environment. The inventory method of historical gardens has been used to collect the knowledge base of the work. The main result of this work is a drawing of the trees in the manor park produced by means of a terrain inventory and a list of the tree species found in it. In addition, a listing of the plants that were in Paul Olsson's plan and can still be found in the park was produced. The work also identified values associated with Inkere Manor. Familiarization with both the history and current state of the area is required to determine the values of historical parks. The preservation of manor parks is directly impacted by the recognition of values, as they have a direct impact on the management measures in the area. In order to preserve the garden of Inkere Manor, it is recommended that a development and management plan be drawn up that takes into account the historical and landscape values of the area.
