Tiivistelmä
The thesis purpose is to create a simple plan which comprise an idea of a website which will ease the business of local food producers and restaurants inside Satakunta region. The plan will be made for a commissioner Matkailun kehittämiskeskus. The commissioner will be taking further developments of the plan and create the website to the final form if seen necessary.

Importance of growth small businesses is vital. Satakunta have numerous of different food producers and restaurants. Some of the local food producers can face difficulties to market their products to the restaurants inside the Satakunta. What smaller the businesses are the task to find new customers grows bigger. Therefore, this thesis will be focused on improving the connectivity of these two parties.

Theory part will consist of inspecting what is local food and how it is provided around the markets. It analyses service business and how it can be utilised in this kind of project. Inspecting the role of the digital platforms in business will help achieve the solution for the thesis’ issue. It helps understanding what the actual website of this project could bring to the target audience. Collecting data from existing similar business models will give the insights how the solution would be forming out.
