Tiivistelmä
Meyer Turku on yksi maailman suurimmista ja moderneimmista telakoista, ja kun yhdellä osastolla ei ollut nykyaikaista ratkaisua sijainnin selvittämiseksi hälytystilanteessa, tilanteeseen tarvittiin ratkaisu.
Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli antaa yritykselle vaihtoehto tämän ongelman ratkaisemiseksi. Paras ratkaisu tähän ongelmaan oli sovellus, jota pystytään hätätilanteessa käyttämään nopeasti. Sovellus tehtiin hyödyntäen Microsoft Power Platformin tarjoamia työkaluja, kuten Microsoft Power Appsia, Power Automatea, sekä Power BI:tä. Sovellusta käytetään Microsoft Power Appsin kautta, joten sovellus toimii hyvin myös mobiililaitteilla työtietokoneiden lisäksi. Hyödyntämällä toimeksiantajalla olevia resursseja sovelluksen kehityskulut pysyivät alhaisina, samalla parantaen hätätilanteissa toimimista.
Sovellus jäi käyttöön yritykselle, ja sovelluksen hyötyjä pystyttiin mittaamaan. Sovellusta hyödyntäviltä käyttäjiltä tuli paljon kehitysideoita, joihin keskityttiin erityisesti sovelluksen käyttäjämäärän laajentuessa. Meyer Turku is one of the largest and most modern shipyards in the world and when one of its departments did not have a modern solution to count the employees during a fire alarm, it was a clear problem that needed a solution.
The objective of this thesis was to develop and evaluate a cost-effective solution for improving location reporting during emergencies in the shipyard. The best solution to this problem was an application that can be used to give a location quickly during an emergency. The application was built with applications included in the Microsoft Power Platform, such as Power Automate and Power BI. The application is accessed through Microsoft Power Apps, making it available on mobile devices in addition to regular desktop computers. By using existing resources, the application minimized implementation costs while enhancing emergency response capabilities.
The application remained in use by the company, and, therefore, its benefits could be measured. Users of the application provided many development ideas, which became a key focus especially as the number of users increased.
