Tiivistelmä
Detta utvecklingsarbete är baserat på examensarbetet ”Vaccinationsrådgivning till de som förhåller sig tveksamma till vaccinationer” – En Scoping review (David Antfolk, 2025). Arbetet behandlar hur vårdpersonal på bästa sätt kan bemöta individer som är tveksamma till vaccination, med fokus på rådgivningens utformning och kommunikationsstrategier.
Syftet med utvecklingsarbetet är att skapa en informativ och lättillgänglig folder som stödjer vårdpersonal i mötet med individer som uttrycker tveksamhet eller oro kring vaccination. Foldern sammanfattar centrala principer för bemötande och kommunikation, med målet att stärka vårdpersonalens förmåga att skapa förtroende, bemöta frågor och förmedla evidensbaserad information på ett respektfullt och individanpassat sätt.
Utvecklingsarbetet har genomförts genom en fördjupad bearbetning av det tidigare examensarbetets resultat i kombination med ytterligare litteratursökning och analys. Arbetet har även vägts mot nationella riktlinjer och rekommendationer från Institutet för hälsa och välfärd (THL). Folderns innehåll har strukturerats med stöd av Antonovskys teori om Känsla av sammanhang (KASAM), för att framhäva vikten av begriplighet, hanterbarhet och meningsfullhet i rådgivningen.
Resultatet av utvecklingsarbetet är en grafiskt tilltalande folder som kan användas i mötet med vaccinationstveksamma individer. Foldern är tänkt att fungera som ett konkret verktyg i rådgivningssituationer och bidra till en mer trygg och strukturerad kommunikation kring vaccinationer. This development work is based on the bachelor’s thesis “Vaccination Counseling for Individuals Hesitant About Vaccines” – A Scoping Review (David Antfolk, 2025). Which explores how healthcare professionals can best approach individuals who are hesitant about vaccinations, with a focus on counseling strategies and effective communication.
The aim of the development work is to create an informative and accessible folder that supports healthcare professionals in encounters with individuals expressing doubts or concerns about vaccines. The folder summarizes key principles of respectful communication and interaction, with the goal of strengthening the ability of healthcare professionals to build trust, address questions, and convey evidence– based information in an individualized and respectful manner.
The development project was carried out through an in–depth refinement of the results from the previous thesis, combined with additional literature review and analysis. It was also aligned with national guidelines and recommendations from the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL). The folder’s content is structured using Antonovsky’s theory of Sense of Coherence (SOC) to highlight the importance of comprehensibility, manageability, and meaningfulness in vaccine counseling.
The result of the development project is a visually appealing folder designed to be used in meetings with vaccine hesitant individuals. The folder is intended as a practical tool in counseling situations and aims to contribute to more confident and structured communication around vaccination.
