Tiivistelmä
The research performed on the effects of remote work on engagement of employees and the challenges faced by organization in managing changes had been explored. The objective was to examines the responsible causes impacting engagement of workers in the remote work culture and approaches organizations use to implement change management and maintaining engagement and productivity among remote workers.
The Qualitative research method used, and by conducting semi-structured interviews with six professionals from various sectors, such as IT, education, and marketing, working in remote and hybrid mode. Data analysis can be performed through thematic analysis by analysing the interview data, which explains the data into five core themes: communication challenges, leadership support and trust, balance between personal and professional life, digital overload, technostress, recognition and motivation. The result findings explain that working in remote location offers ease of working and self-sufficiency, it also emerges confronts such as isolation, reduced informal communication, overstress, and burnout. Leadership is an important resource in building trust and supporting employee engagement. Furthermore, the lack of recognition and ineffective communication were identified as key areas affecting employees working in remote settings.
The study concluded that effective leadership, structured communication, and recognition and appraisal strategies are important for enhancing employee motivation in remote settings. The results analysis adds to existing knowledge and offer insights to organizations follows remote work culture.
