Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tehostaa toimeksiantajayrityksen palkanlaskentaprosessia sähköistämällä yrityksen kuljettajien työajanseurantajärjestelmä. Tämä oli ajankohtaista toimeksiantajayrityksen kannalta palkanlaskentaan tulleen henkilöstön vaihdoksen takia.
Työn teoriaosuudessa käsitellään työaikaa työaikalainsäädännön näkökulmasta. Lisäksi osiossa määritellään käytettävyys, jonka pohjalta sovellusten vertailu on toteutettu. Teoriaosuudessa tarkastellaan myös digitalisaation vaikutuksia, jotta voidaan ennakoida, millaisia muutoksia digitaaliseen järjestelmään siirtyminen saattaa aiheuttaa.
Työ toteutettiin havainnoimalla ja testaamalla kahta työajanseurantaan soveltuvaa sovellusta: Logiappia ja Diffoa. Testaus keskittyi loppukäyttäjän, eli kuljettajan, näkökulmasta arvioituun käytettävyyteen. Lisäksi vertailussa otettiin huomioon sovellusten väliset kustannuserot. The objective of this thesis was to improve the payroll process of the client company by digitizing the working time tracking system used by the drivers of the company. This was relevant for the company due to a recent personnel change in the payroll department.
The theoretical part of the thesis discusses working time from the perspective of working time legislation. In addition, it defines usability, which forms the basis for the application of the comparison. The theory section also examines the effects of digitalization to anticipate the kinds of changes that a transition to a digital system might cause.
The study was carried out by observing and testing two applications suitable for working time tracking: Logiapp and Diffo. The testing focused on usability as evaluated from the end user's perspective, i.e., the drivers. The comparison also considered the cost differences between the applications.
