In large-scale shipbuilding projects, every task must align precisely with other project parts,
making clear communication and seamless teamwork crucial. In a multicultural workforce
this adjusting can create misunderstandings, differing expectations and varying problem
solving methods. Without effective strategies to address these tasks, operational efficiency,
quality control and overall productivity may be compromised.
This research aims to explore how a multicultural environment influences work co
ordination in a technical and safety-critical industry like shipbuilding. The study will
research communication challenges, leadership approaches and team dynamics, finding
practical solutions to increase work efficiency in companies like KRB Rakennus. By
establishing best practices for navigating cultural diversity, the findings could serve as a
useful case study for other subcontractors and industry players trying to improve
collaboration, streamline processes and optimize workforce management in multicultural
industrial settings. The author strives to get deep dive into communication process and work
collaboration.
This research seeks to apply quantitative and qualitative research with reference to
theoretical background. Interviews, surveys and data analysis will all be utilized in the
research process to obtain a thorough grasp of the potential and difficulties faced by
multicultural teams in the shipbuilding industry. Additionally, research methods like SWOT
analysis will contribute to the interpretation of the results obtained.
