Tiivistelmä
Business environment has become more global and especially now after the pandemic more and more jobs are done virtually and teams consist of team members working from several different locations. During the autumn of 2020 JAMK University of Applied Sciences students participated on X-culture, a project designed to give students an opportunity to experience working on a real business problem with a global team. The research was to explore students’ motivation to join a Global Virtual Team (GTV) and does the motivation affect participants evaluation of the project. Data was collected with a survey. The results indicate that there is three different types of motivation and the motivation doesn’t affect the evaluation of the project. It was recommended that future research explore the motivations on a bigger sample of respondents.
