The digitalization of tourism has created extensive options for travel planning. This thesisfocuses on traveling for concerts, which creates complex multi-destination trips that must take multiple factors into account: concert schedules, transport options, and accommodation. It is possible to navigate these factors with existing tools; however, these tools are often static. These tools work independently from each other and exist on various platforms.
This thesis addresses this gap in tools by introducing a proof-of-concept prototype that usesmultiple artificial intelligence agents connected to each other to provide automated concert trip planning in a singular place. The prototype development happens in n8n, a low-code workflow platform, with Supabase Postgres database, APIs from RapidAPI and SerpAPI, and a Telegram integration. These tools are free to use on their lowest tiers.
This thesis uses a mixed-method research approach that begins with an online survey to find habits, priorities, and pain points of concertgoers. The insights found in the survey drive the iterative development of the prototype and its architecture. The prototype usability inspection assesses the plausibility, effectiveness, and value of the prototype.
Findings prove that this agent-driven workflow prototype that simplifies decision-making offers a proof-of-concept blueprint for future developments that offer more features and a sophisticated user interface.
