Tiivistelmä
Tämän kehittämistyönä toteutetun opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli kerätä tietoa aistimodulaatiosta, sensorisesta integraatiosta ja valmistaa liikuteltava aistihuone Liuskallion aikuisten kehitysvammaisten asumisyksikköön.
Liikuteltava aistihuone toteutettiin puretun aistihuoneen materiaaleista ja se on siirrettävissä joko kokonaan tai osittain asukkaan huoneeseen tai yhteisiin tiloihin. Liikuteltava aistihuone on pakattuna koreihin, joissa on tarkat käyttöohjeet sisällön käytöstä. Koreissa pyrittiin ottamaan huomioon käyttäjien monimuotoisuus, joten ne pyrkivät vastaamaan asukkaiden tarpeisiin mahdollisimman hyvin.
Aistikorit perustuvat Snoezelen-menetelmään, jota kuitenkin muokattiin Liuskallion tarpeisiin. Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin kestävän kehityksen ja eettisten periaatteiden pohjalta. The goal of this development thesis was to collect information on sensory modulation and prepare a mobile sensory room for the Liuskallio living unit for adults with developmental disabilities.
The movable sensory room was constructed from the materials of the dismantled sensory room and can be moved either completely or partially to the residents' room or to common spaces. The mobile sensory room is packed in baskets with detailed instructions on how to use the contents. The baskets are different, so they try to meet the needs of the residents as much as possible.
The baskets are based on the Snoezelen method, which was adapted for Liuskallio’s needs. The thesis is grounded in the principles of sustainable development and ethics.
