Tiivistelmä
The Comprehensive Paediatric Palliative Care Approach (PALLIAKID) project aims to enhance the wellbeing and quality of life of children and adolescents and young adults (AYAs) requiring palliative and end-of-life care, alongside their family caregivers and healthcare professionals. As part of the project, tools to facilitate shared decision-making in paediatric palliative care (PPC) will be designed and developed.
The purpose of this literature review was to search and analyse literature reviews on patients’, family caregivers’, siblings’, and professionals’ needs in PPC as well as in advance care planning (ACP) in PPC, to synthesize evidence and knowledge gaps for a general foundation to be utilized in the development of the PALLIAKID intervention and tools.
