Event handbook: Case Tourism Winter Ball

Abstract

The investigation into event creation and what kind of challenges people are facing when creating events for the first time was conducted. The qualitative semi-structured interviews were used to collect data. A total of seven student gala event organizers were interviewed to find out what kind of challenges they faced, what were success point and what kind of suggestions they can give to future event organizers. Thematic analysis was used to analyse and categorise findings. The results showed that challenging parts of the event creation were communication, motivation and planning. These results can help future event organizers to know what challenges they might face and be prepared to deal with them.
