Tiivistelmä
This thesis was aimed to explore methods and strategies in sustainable sourcing of the clothing supply chain, mainly during the post-purchase phase (after the customer received the product) by studying the current situation of a company called CANIFA, a leading Vietnamese fashion brand that designs, manufacture and markets clothing and accessories for men, women and children.

The main goal of this thesis is to identify what type of sourcing strategies CANIFA is using to enhance product’s life-cycle post-purchase, focusing on analysing the strengths and limitations of said methods through practical practices, corporate planning. The author proposed solutions through campaigns and service design to improve the life-cycle of the product, resulting in a step closer to circularity in clothing. This study used a mixed method of gathering opinions and information, which involved both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Customer interviews were conducted using 1 on 1 interview with questions. Additionally, a digital survey was also conducted for 30 participants, including CANIFA staff, executive and consumer representatives who have purchased items of clothing. The data collected will be studied in this thesis.

Solutions, suggestions and butterfly diagram made by Ellen MacArthur were designed to align with the specific requirements of CANIFA through extensive collaboration with head of departments in the client company. It is expected that company’s plans toward circularity can be improved through the help of this thesis, which will provide positive impact on customer’s satisfaction.
