Taidelähtöisen Toivekuvia-työpajan konseptointi

Abstract

Opinnäytetyöni tavoitteena oli kehittää tulevaisuuden visiointiin keskittyvä taidelähtöinen Toivekuvia-työpaja. Opinnäytetyöni teoreettinen viitekehys muodostui yhteisötaiteen, taidevalokuvan ja ennakoinnin ympärille. Opinnäytetyö sijoittuu yhteisötaiteen kenttään. Työpajan kehittäminen sisälsi työpajan kohderyhmien määrittämisen, työpajan ideoinnin ja suunnittelun sekä työpajan arvioinnin ja kuvallisen konseptiesityksen. Työpajan kehittämisessä tärkein osuus oli työpajapiloteilla, joita toteutettiin yhteensä kolme kappaletta. Työpajapilottien tavoitteena oli selvittää työpajan toimivuutta ja saada palautetta työpajan kehittämiseksi. Toivekuvia-työpajapilotit koostuivat kolmesta vaiheesta: 1) johdantovaihe, jossa osallistujat tarkastelivat aikaa ja ajallisuutta taidevalokuvien avulla, 2) toteutusvaihe, jossa osallistujat toteuttivat oman toivekuvansa valitsemallaan kuvallisella tekniikalla sekä 3) yhteenveto, joka sisälsi palautekeskustelun. Tärkeimmät tutkimusmenetelmät olivat työpajapilottien aikaiset omat havaintoni ja työpajoissa pidetty yhteinen palautekeskustelu. Opinnäytetyön tärkein tulos oli Toivekuvia-työpajakonsepti, jota voidaan viedä erilaisiin tulevaisuutta käsitteleviin tapahtumiin. Lisäksi tulokseksi voidaan katsoa työpajapilottien osallistujien aktiivinen osallistuminen, työpajojen aikana käydyt keskustelut ja työpajoissa syntynyt taide (osallistujien toivekuvat).

The goal of my thesis was to develop an art-based workshop called Toivekuvia (Wish images) that focuses on envisioning the future. The theoretical framework of my thesis was based on community art, art photography, and foresight. The thesis is situated in the field of community art. The development of the Toivekuvia workshop included defining the target groups for the workshop, brainstorming and planning the workshop, and evaluating the workshop and presenting a visual concept. The most important part of the Toivekuvia workshop development was the pilot workshops, of which there were three in total. The goal of the pilot workshops was to determine the effectiveness of the workshop and to obtain feedback for its development. Toivekuvia pilot workshops consisted of three phases: 1) an introductory phase, in which participants examined time and temporality through art photography, 2) an implementation phase, in which participants created their own wish images using an image-based technique of their choice, and 3) a summary phase, which included a feedback discussion. The most important research methods were my own observations during the pilot workshops and the feedback discussion held in the workshops. The most important result of the thesis was the Toivekuvia workshop concept, which can be used in various events dealing with the future. The resulting concept and the developed workshop can be offered to groups and communities interested in foresight and visioning. In addition, the active participation of the pilot workshop participants, the discussions held during the workshops, and the art created in the workshops (the participants' wish images) can be considered as results.
