Tiivistelmä
This study has been conducted to examine the influence of convenience, the social influence, as well as the price on consumer behaviour for coffee consumption. The key objective of the study has been to understand which factors more strongly predicts the coffee purchasing decisions among consumer groups in Sri Lanka,
The researcher designed a quantitative survey with a structured questionnaire distributed to the 22 respondents representing varied gender, education, income, employment status within Sri Lanka. The collected data was analysed with both demographic and correlation analysis. The results indicated on that there were mainly male respondents, and they have habit of consuming coffee in a daily basis. The correlation analysis could help to recognize there is a massive relationship which is positive in between the mentioned attributes with the dependent variable. However, most significant association has been identified with the price. This indicates that price is a co determinant when it comes to the coffee consumption among Sri Lankans, then the social influence, helper, secondary influencing while the convenience had the least influence. Thus, it showed that price and the social influence play a major role in terms of the coffee consumption among the Sri Lankans.
As a conclusion, it can be stated that coffee consumers in the sample have been primarily influenced by price considerations, thus they did not rely on the social or convenience factors. The study highlighted the importance of affordability and the value perception within the peer pressure.
