Tiivistelmä
The most crucial component of nursing education learning clinical skills in clin
ical laboratories and simulations is examined in this thesis. Educational institu
tions are under pressure to produce skilled nurses who can function in today's
sophisticated healthcare system due to the healthcare industry's rapid techno
logical improvement.
In recent years, there has been a shift in nursing education, with a greater em
phasis on the use of technology. As a result, more studies have been done on
the advantages of learning clinical skills in labs and simulation settings, espe
cially from the viewpoint of nursing students. These days, role-playing, games,
virtual simulations, and simulators are widely used in nursing education.
The purpose of this study was to clarify how nursing students view clinical
skills learning laboratories and simulations. The objective was to produce
knowledge to improve simulation training and clinical laboratory skills. Key
words such as clinical skills, simulations, nursing, or students' perspective
were used to extract the examined publications from reliable sources, includ
ing CINAHL, Google Scholar, and PubMed.
The used thematic content analysis has helped to analyze the study out
comes. The results of this research proved to demonstrate that clinical skills
and simulation positively impacted student know-how, self-efficacy levels, and
learning skills. The investigations have also revealed several difficulties, like a
shortage of qualified instructors, subpar tools, and a lack of space.
