Tiivistelmä
The main purpose of this study was to explore how the training and development impact the hotel employee’s confidence, motivation, and job satisfaction in Finland. The research focused on hotel staff members in Helsinki to understand their training experiences at their workplace.

Qualitative methods were used to obtain data and information through five interviews with hotel staff who worked at distinct positions. The researchers conducted an analysis of interview data to identify recurring patterns about employee training experiences and their effects on work performance and problem related to training. The findings show that the training programs helps employees to feel more confident and are better able to do their jobs. The participants noted that the training programs provided by their hotels support them to develop their better skills and feel more prepare for their work duties. The participants experienced increased motivation and job satisfaction because of their proper training experience. The research discovered two main training-related difficulties which stem from lack of time for training during peak work periods and limited programs.

Finnish Hotels should establish the flexible training systems which combine micro-learning with on the-job training and scheduled refresher sessions to enhance employee development. Better training methods will lead to higher employee well-being and decreased employee turnover while enhancing total service quality. The research contributes value to the limited studies about the effects of training on employee happiness in Finnish hotels while offering useful insights for hotels and their staff and future academic researchers.
