This thesis documents an internship experience within a telematics pre-integration project, using a diary-based approach to capture daily activities, challenges, and reflections. The report provides insights into the coordination and technical processes involved in preparing telematics fea-tures for integration, emphasizing communication, documentation, and project management tasks. Weekly analyses complement the daily diaries by reflecting on emerging themes, problem-solving strategies, and professional growth.
The internship focused on two main objectives. First, it aimed to support the author’s professional development in areas such as stakeholder communication, project coordination, and technical documentation. Second, it contributed to the efficiency and accuracy of the pre-integration process by ensuring feature tickets were up to date, clarifying implementation statuses, and maintaining structured data tracking.
The work involved collaboration with feature owners, managing Confluence tickets, and maintaining Excel-based tracking systems. These tasks required attention to detail, proactive communication, and organizational skills to ensure smooth progress toward integration milestones. The diary-based methodology provided a structured way to monitor progress, identify challenges, and link experiences to professional development goals.
By combining practical contributions to the project with reflective analysis, this thesis demonstrates how internships can foster both technical and transferable skills. It highlights the value of systematic documentation and communication in complex integration projects and offers a resource for those seeking to develop similar competencies.
