With the rapid development of the air cargo industry, warehousing, as the core hub, directly determines cargo turnover speed and enterprise efficiency. Intelligent warehousing upgrading has become a key way for air cargo companies to enhance their core competitiveness.
Among various operating costs, hidden costs caused by space waste and operation redundancy remain high, especially for air cargo services featuring strong timeliness, diverse categories, and high turnover frequency. The scientificity of warehousing layout directly affects the smoothness of the entire cargo chain.
Currently, LB Air Cargo Company faces problems such as unreasonable layout, chaotic functional zoning, and poor adaptability between intelligent equipment and operation processes. These lead to cross redundancy in receiving, sorting, and shipping. Its space utilization is only 65% of the industry average, and cargo turnover time is 20% higher than that of benchmark enterprises, which increases labor and time costs and reduces customer satisfaction.
Therefore, intelligent optimization of warehousing layout is a core breakthrough for LB Air Cargo to reduce costs and improve service quality. This paper takes LB Air Cargo’s warehousing operation as the research object, deeply analyzes key problems in its layout, and aims to provide practical reference and theoretical basis for intelligent warehousing upgrading of air cargo and similar logistics enterprises.
