Tiivistelmä
The research paper “The step-by-step manual how to create an internet startup com-pany on the example of the company Heady up” is focused on the development of online startups concentrating on mobile applications especially online social networks. The main objective of the thesis is to implement the plan on how to change and develop the product to achieve success in the performance and create the paper itself in a form of guide for pioneers in mobile applications business. To reach the objective several tasks were accomplished: analysis of data about the mobile applications market, researches about innovative technologies, strategic management and marketing tools to analyse the performance of the company.The single case study, quantitative and qualitative methods were used to conduct the research. After analysing data from the research several recommendations were made: company should change marketing strategy and the product itself, implement new product features such as camera option in the default screen, chat, friends requests option. Also the application should operate in earlier versions of IOs system, and should be adapted to the product line of Apple: Tablets, IPhones, it’s important to make an Android version of the application. Additionally Appstore optimization plan should be implemented and clear description, adapted to the language of market should be placed in the preview of the application. To implement the Android version company should recruit new employees, or it can outsource the development process. HeadyUp is present in some online media, but it needs to be present in English, Russian and US media. The SMO plan should be created and tested in social networks. Through VRIO analysis it was discovered that company has temporary competitive advantage, it’s possible to imitate company resources. It can be concluded that HeadyUp should work faster and should develop their creative marketing campaigns in order not to have substitute products.
