Katsastusjärjestelmän käyttöönotto

Abstract

Tämä insinöörityö on tehty vuoden 2015 aikana HelppoKatsastuksen toimeksiannosta. Insinöörityön tarkoituksena on kuvata HelppoKatsastuksen uuden katsastusjärjestelmän käyttöönotto käyttäjän näkökulmasta. Uuden katsastusjärjestelmän käyttöönotossa ja testauksessa pääpaino oli uuden järjestelmän käytettävyydessä. Tavoitteena oli luoda vanhaa järjestelmää selkeämpi järjestelmä ja tuoda siihen uusia katsastusmiehen työtä helpottavia ominaisuuksia.

HelppoKatsastus laajensi toimintaansa vuonna 2015, jolloin ilmeni tarve järkeistää toimintamalleja ennen niiden monistamista uusille, avattaville asemille. Vanhat erilliset järjestelmät vaihdettiin yhteen yhtenäiseen järjestelmään.

Insinöörityössä hankittiin tietoa katsastustoimintaa säätelevistä säädöksistä sekä haastattelemalla ja havainnoimalla uuden katsastusjärjestelmän käyttöönottoa. Järjestelmän kehitystyö tehtiin käyttämällä vanhaa katsastusjärjestelmää, testaamalla uutta järjestelmää sekä haastattelemalla katsastusmiehiä. Testauksen ja haastatteluiden avulla saatiin kerättyä tietoa, jonka avulla uuteen järjestelmään saatiin käytettävyyttä parantavia toimintoja.

Insinöörityön tuloksena syntyi kuvaus katsastusjärjestelmän käyttöönotosta käyttäjän näkökulmasta. Katsastusmiehet toimivat uuden järjestelmän testaajina, ja järjestelmää kehitettiin heidän toivomustensa mukaisesti. Kehitystyössä otettiin huomioon lainsäädännön vaatimukset katsastusjärjestelmälle.

This Bachelor’s thesis is made during 2015 for HelppoKatsastus. The aim of the thesis was to describe implementation of the new inspection system from the user point of view. The thesis focused on testing and usability in implementation. The purpose of the development process was to create user friendly system for inspector.

HelppoKatsastus expanded their business during 2015. Before opening new inspection stations rationalizing processes was needed. Also the old and separate systems were re-placed with one common system.

The theoretical part of the thesis is based on the legislation of inspection. Information for the new user friendly system was gathered by interviews and by observing the implementation of the inspection system. The system was developed by using the old inspection system, testing the new system and by interviewing inspectors. The usability of the new system was improved based on the data collected from tests and interviews.

The output of the thesis was the description of the implementation of the new inspection system from the viewpoint of the user. The inspectors tested the new system, and the sys-tem was developed based on their comments. The demands of the legislation were con-sidered in the development process.
