This thesis investigates the relationship between FSSB and work engagement, utilising a sample of IT personnel employed by a large German corporation. The results point to the existence of a significant positive correlation between FSSB and work engagement when looking at the whole sample. However, contrary to prior expectations, no support for women exhibiting a stronger positive relationship than men could be identified. Moreover, parental status could not be supported as a crucial factor in determining the relationship between FSSB and work engagement, as the parents and non-parents samples displayed similar results. These findings can be used to further elaborate FSSB training programmes.
