Abstract

The goal of the research is to present a detailed, simple and easy to understand explanation of blockchain technology and how it can improve the current situation in the financial industry and trade. Modernising outdated payment systems is a priority in both the banking industry, plagued by bureaucracy and trade finance as it can both aid retention of private and corporate customers and increase transaction efficiency.
