Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyömme tarkoituksena oli parantaa Savonia-ammattikorkeakoulun toisen vuoden restonomiopiskelijoiden luokkahenkeä ja saada heidät tuntemaan toisensa paremmin. Saimme toimeksiannon Savonia-ammattikorkeakoululta, sillä heillä oli tarvetta toisen vuoden opiskelijoiden parempaan ryhmäytymiseen. Ensimmäinen ryhmäytyminen toteutettiin Vanhassa Pappilassa, joka on Kuopion seurakunnantila. Ryhmäytymisen merkitys on
Kysely kerättiin erikseen matkailu-, ravitsemis- ja management of tourism services- (englanninkielinen polku) puolen opiskelijoilta, jotta jokaisen luokan ryhmäytymisen onnistuminen voidaan arvioida erikseen.
Ryhmäytymisiltaan osallistui matkailupuolelta 17, ravitsemispuolelta viisi ja englanninkieliselta polulta kuusi opiskelijaa. Toisen vuoden restonomiopiskelijoista noin 43 % osallistui meidän ryhmäytymiseemme. Kyselyyn vastasi matkailupuolelta 14, ravitsemispuolelta viisi ja englanninkieliselta puolelta kolme opiskelijaa. Kokonaisuudessaan 77% kyselyyn vastannutta opiskelijaa koki tarvetta ryhmäytymiselle.
The subject of this thesis was to improve the class spirit of second year students of the Department of Tourism
and Hospitality Management of Savonia University of Applied Sciences. The assignment was given by Savonia
University of Applied Sciences, because they needed improvement in the grouping of second year students. The
first grouping was held in Vanha Pappila, which is a meeting place owned by Kuopio Parish Union. The importance of grouping is major for future group tasks and common projects of the class, so that everyone would
get along with each other.
This thesis was a work of development and the feedback survey was implemented as webropol-survey. The feedback survey was made in order to find out the success of the grouping and the requirement for it in the future.
The survey was implemented separately for tourism, hospitality management and the English line - management
of tourism services classes, so that the success of each class’ grouping could be determined separately.
There were 17 attending students from the tourism class, 5 attending students from hospitality management and
6 attending students from the management of tourism services classes in the grouping evening. The total
amount of attending students from the target group was 43 %. The feedback survey received answers from 14
students from the tourism class, 14 students from the hospitality management class and three students from the
English line - management of tourism service class. In total, 77 % of the survey’s participants felt that the grouping was necessary.
The number of participants of the teacher tutor lessons was roughly the same as in the grouping evening. The
teacher tutor lesson was most successful with the hospitality management class. In the first grouping evening of
hospitality management class, there were only five participants, but every student of the class attended the
teacher tutor lessons.
The goal of this thesis was to improve the student’s group spirit and the ability to work together. It is planned to
develop second year students’ grouping further in the future. The goal of this thesis was also to give us an experience of what it is like to guide larger audiences.
