Tiivistelmä
This thesis was written under the supervision of Aiforsite oy, which is an IT company situated in Keilamiemi, Espoo, Finland. The company provides a solution in the construction industry to ensure the endless intensification of productivity, quality and safety in the workplace with data-driven technology. The main intentions of this final-year project were to discuss a profitable and dedicated feature called Video observation that was implemented and tested on weekly basics by me in conjunction with the development team at Aiforsite oy.
The web-based application was created using multiple state-of-the-art web technologies where Video 360 degrees features are significantly concentrated. Specifically, such technological tools consist of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, and Three.js based on WebGL for client-side whereas Django and MySQL are employed in the backend. Therefore, those libraries and frameworks were also explained in this project.
The theory part of this thesis was collected mainly through reliable academic sources and the company’s manuals in a vigilant manner. In addition to this, several meetings with the company’s staff were conducted as a reference.
