Distribution is the only external factor not entirely dependent on the business, in addition, it is difficult to control. Distribution is a bridge between enterprises and end consumers, providing maximum convenience for target customers and long-term competitive advantage for businesses.
The purpose of the bachelor thesis is to provide readers with an overview of the distribution process based on various theoretical sources. In the theory section, the objectives are the concepts and methods of the distribution process and the importance of distribution channels for consumers as well as businesses. In empirical research, qualitative methods are applied in the study. Thanh Dung Balloon Production and Trading is the company case selected for conducting interviews in their distribution activities.
The main question of the thesis topic is “How is the distribution process organized in the case company?”. Based on that, the main points were built to answer the questions: How are the distribution method and marketing channel handle in the company? What is the channel that most contributed to the company's profit? The company operates as a small company in Vietnam, so the article cannot be applied internationally.
The results of the thesis determined the important necessity of the four factors studied as the company's distribution policy, the effectiveness of distribution channels, distribution activities and reference data with the provided information. The interviews were conducted with five experts in the case company. Building the questions emphasized the methods, strategies, and marketing channels of the distribution process. Next, the data and information after the interviews were analyzed and aggregated into the final results to concentrate on the efficiency of the distribution process.
